Your skip the line access will allow you to avoid the long queues, and our expert local guide will lead you through the crowds, bringing to life the famous people who inhabited this palace. Explore the sumptuous state flats and discover how the glory of the Sun King shone around the world. Walk through the glittering Hall of Mirrors as kings, queens and courtiers did. Experience a typical day in the life of Marie Antoinette. Her opulent lifestyle here led to her tragic end during the French Revolution; she left Versailles in 1789 never to return. Discover how kings and queens lived their lavish lives in public and how they kept gossiping courtiers under their thumb.
After the palace tour, your guide will lead you through the spectacular gardens. Explore the hidden groves, which were once the scene of elaborate balls, parties and fireworks. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the gardens are alive with music, as they would have been in the time of the royal court. On Saturdays and Sundays, the fountains are animated with amazing waterworks, running as they did in the times of the royal court. At the end of your tour, your guide will be happy to give you tips on other places to visit or where to enjoy a good meal in this beautiful royal city.

Will we skip the entry lines?
Yes. Your pre-booked entry time lets you use a special entrance and avoid the long public lines. If everything runs on schedule, waiting is minimal. If there’s a short delay, our guides will help get you in as quickly as possible.
Will we get a tour of the gardens?
Yes. Your guide will show you the gardens, including some hidden areas, and can suggest where to explore further on your own afterward.
Will the fountain show be on?
The fountain shows run April to September on weekends and some Tuesdays. On other days during those months, you can enjoy the musical gardens instead.
