Mount Pilatus from Lucerne

The excursion to Mt. Pilatus is an exceptional experience on the steepest cogwheel railway in the world, built in 1889. Reach the top by cogwheel railway or by gondola.

The mountain massif is overlooking Lucerne and is located in central Switzerland. The top can be reached by the steepest cogwheel railway (built in 1889) in the world or by gondola. 

The 'Golden Round Trip', operating in summer only, this involves taking a boat from Lucerne across Lake Lucerne, the cogwheel railway up to the top and then the panorama gondolas down again and finally a trolleybus back to Lucerne. 

Available:

Daily, between 24 May and 19 October. First class supplement is €22 per person.

 

Departure:

Depending on which route you take. The journey time will be between 1hr and 2,5 hrs per way.

Child Policy:

Children under the age of 6 years travel free of charge.
