This full-day guided tour by minivan will take you to the most beautiful lavender fields of Provence, in the Valensole region. Enjoy the Provencal way of life, visit picturesque villages, explore the Verdon Gorge and relax at Lake Sainte-Croix.
Meet your friendly driver/guide in Aix-en-Provence and drive through the Durance valley to the emblematic plateau of Valensole. This is where the magnificent landscape of the lavender fields unfolds. Your guide will stop at the best viewpoints to take pictures, and you will visit a local producer who’ll tell you all about the cultivation, distillation, and properties of the lavender flowers.
Next, you will stop in Moustriers-Saint-Marie, where you will have time to explore and have lunch (not included). This picturesque village is located above two cliffs and is best known for its pottery workshops.
The day continues with a drive on winding roads along the majestic Verdon Canyon. Admire the breath-taking colours and scenery and enjoy a panoramic tour around the lake of Sainte-Croix. After some free time in the village of Sainte-Croix de Verdon, you will have some time to relax by the lake, and why not take a swim in the bright turquoise water.

Please be aware that the lavender fields are usually blooming from mid-June to mid-July, but in reality, this is a moving target, depending largely on the lavender areas you plan to visit, the weather in Provence, and the altitude. The harvest will typically start on the Valensole plateau around mid-July.
