Jungfraujoch from Interlaken

Jungfraujoch, at 3454 metres a.s.l is a different world, and one you have to experience! A trip to Europe's highest altitude railway station is a highlight.

The panorama almost takes your breath away; on one side the view of the Swiss Plateau as far as France, on the other side the Aletsch Glacier lined with four thousand metre peaks. Icy air will sweep over your face, snow crunch underfoot and you will be mesmerized by the beauty and sheer awesomeness of the whole scenery in front of you.

You can choose to travel by cable car or cogwheel train, either way the journey is characterised by its scenic diversity and alpine grandeur.

The Jungfrau Railways’ track is an engineering masterpiece, the last section has been built inside the mountain itself and the view through the panorama windows at the Eigerwand and Eismeer stations in the middle of the North Wall are a thrilling experience. The platform of the observatory is located right above the Aletsch Glacier. The 'Alpine Sensation' is a subway inside the rock and connects the Ice Paradise with the Sphinx Hall.
