This is a small group guided tour where you will be collected from your Dublin hotel before heading out of the city. Sit back and enjoy the Irish countryside while your whiskey host will entertain you. The first stop is about one hour drive out of the city, Kilbeggan Distillery. Here you will tour the distillery and enjoy a master class in tasting three Irish whiskeys from their range. The journey continues to the authentic town of Athlone where you will make a stop for lunch and free time to stroll around the town centre. A visit to Ireland´s oldest pub follows, it is in fact not only the oldest pub in Ireland, but it is also the oldest pub in Europe, actually right now, it is the oldest pub in the world!
Sean and Declan, who both run the bar have their very own whiskey brands which are really, really good. Here you´ll enjoy a tasting of Sean's specially blended single malt whiskey. From here the journey continues to the home of Tullamore D.E.W. one of the biggest makers of Irish whiskey in the world. Here you will tour the plant and the opportunity to try all the whiskeys in the Tullamore range. Time for shopping before returning to Dublin.
